At Lifecycle, our mission is to Be Relevant in Life Sciences by providing essential and innovative products that are evolved by passionate people. Our people, our employees, make us who we are and we recognize the benefits of having engaged and well-trained loyal employees. The Management Interactive Training (M.I.T.) program was created with the goal of training our employees to be the future leaders of the organization. The program is eight months long and the curriculum is custom designed based on the employees participating in the program to ensure they get the most out of the program.
This first class of M.I.T. has been a great success, with three members being promoted to much needed managerial positions across the organization. Lifecycle congratulates Aaron Benz, Ashley Liprando, and David Thomas on their promotions and their hard work during the program. Aaron, Ashley, and David all exhibit the core values and competencies we encourage at Lifecycle. Our executive team had the pleasure of getting to know Aaron, Ashley, and David a little better during the program and were happy to recommend they be promoted to management.
One of the greatest achievements of participants in this session of M.I.T. has been the ability to solve problems. Problem solving is an extremely important skill for managers to have, not just for their careers in business, but also for life in general. The ability to solve problems challenges the individual and allows for greater understanding and expansion of knowledge. When problem solving occurs as a team, the team learns to trust each other as well as gaining a better understanding of each team member’s strengths and weaknesses. These are all important characteristics of great leaders.
The M.I.T program has similar goals to that of its namesake, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. We aim to educate our employees about how they can work effectively, creatively, and wisely, not just for Lifecycle, but for themselves too. The program offers business theory, as well as mentoring, and exposure to company philosophy and strategy. Business theory topics included continuous improvement, team building, finance, purpose, and having difficult conversations.
During the program, participants get to figure out exactly what it is they want out of their career and where they see themselves as part of the Lifecycle team. The program starts with an emphasis on each participant learning more about themselves, what their skills are, what they want out of life, and what their potential is when it comes to a career as part of the management team at Lifecycle.
Lifecycle Biotechnologies is proud to look internally for future leaders. We will be offering a second round of M.I.T. including improvements suggested from our inaugural members in 2018. This program is open to all Lifecycle employees, so if you are interested in taking your career in a management direction and are curious about the M.I.T. program, please contact us to learn about our open positions. We are always looking for great people to join our team.
