Lifecycle: Spotlight on Our Values…and on Ashley Wilhelm
Posted By admin / 15th Sep, 2017
At Lifecycle, we are always striving to set, and meet, the highest standards possible for ourselves. We believe that our commitment to quality and service comes through in our business. Our customers know it – and so do our employees. Just listen to what Ashley Wilhelm, Account Manager, has to say about the culture here.
“The culture at Lifecycle is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. Lifecycle really is about its Core Values that can be found on its website and on the walls of all our brands—to be relevant, be admired, be accountable and to commit. If we aren’t embodying all of those values, we are going to fail ourselves and our partners.”
Those four core values—be relevant, be admired, be accountable, and commit—those are what we try to instill in our employees and what we work towards every day. Without those four values, we simply wouldn’t be able to provide the high level of service that we do every day.
Ashley also happens to be a participant in our M.I.T. program, a training program for employees in whom we see great potential. The program includes a book of the month, as well as discussions, mentorship, and work on different projects. We started the M.I.T. program because we believe it’s important to build from within and utilize the talent that you already have on hand.
Participants like Ashley will finish the M.I.T. program and hopefully grow into larger roles within the company. Sometimes an outside hire is the right choice, but we feel that it’s important to take a look within to find the perfect candidate.
That was something that was important to Ashley when she first interviewed with us.
“I had moved to Fort Collins from Pittsburgh 6 months prior to landing a job with Chata and was working in a position that I was passionate about, but had little to no room for growth, which is something I always strive for.”
That instinct to find a place where she could grow and move on to new roles and identities within the company is exactly what we’re looking for in our employees. It certainly worked out for Ashley.
“My passion and background is in customer relationships and inside sales, so I was excited for the opportunity to be able to hone those skills while embracing the side of me that is always looking to new learn things. Landing a job with Lifecycle has enabled me to continuously learn while being able to grow across all of our brands. It hasn’t always been easy, especially when talking about all of the technical things, but the support that I’ve received and will continue to receive from every member of Lifecycle is something invaluable.
Like any job, times can be tough and stressful, but there is always this overarching sense of value and worth in what I’m doing. Maybe that’s what I love about working here. It’s the sense of purpose and the reignition of the fire in my belly. It’s the sense of empowerment that I’m given from our executive team and the trust I’ve been able to build there. It’s my resonation with our Core Values and how I can continue to grow. Basically, it’s the sense of controlled freedom that I find myself being privileged to have.”
Those core values, plus a passion for learning, are the basis of our business. We value those ideas highly and we’re lucky enough to have a team that makes those values their own as well. We’re proud to have Ashley as an integral part of that team – especially when she makes statements like this one: “I believe in servant-based leadership and take tremendous pride in all I do to ensure that I’m giving 110% to everything.”
