Lifecycle Biotechnologies began over 30 years ago and since then we’ve expanded our role as a life sciences tools and service supplier through multiple different brands. Namely, our products are provided through Boval BioSolutions, Chata Biosystems, and VI Plastics.

Each of these brands serves a different need, but all play a part in our overarching goal of providing products and services at the beginning of the lifecycle of today’s lifesaving and life-enhancing medical products.

That’s a fairly broad field and it encompasses a wide range of markets that are related to the biomedical industry. Our products are used in everything from cell culture growth to pharmaceutical manufacturing. Here’s a look at what we do.

Boval

Boval’s Bovine Serum Albumin and Human Serum Albumin products are used in cell culture growth, regenerative medicine, blood banking, molecular biology, cosmetics, and the list goes on. Our high quality BSA and HSA are sought after in many different industries and our customers have come to trust and rely on the products and services that Boval provides.

Boval also serves customers who need laboratory testing performed, but don’t have the space or personnel to do it. Boval’s in-house lab services ensure quality and timely results and we work with our customers to make sure that all of their specifications are being met.

Chata

Chata manufactures custom and semi-custom aqueous reagents and chemicals that are used primarily for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical testing and manufacturing. Chata has also pioneered and developed our own custom-engineered packaging solutions, revolutionizing the delivery methods for reagents and chemicals.

The packaging systems largely eliminates the need for glass or plastic containers in a lab or manufacturing environment and provides a more environmentally sustainable and microbiological-controlled process. For many of our customers we also provide pumps and expert advice to streamline the use of the bulk fluid delivery options we provide. This could be anything from a peristaltic pump to Chata’s new Lavage Pump Systems, which provide a sterilizable and reusable alternative to traditional single-use or single-use component lavage systems.

VI Plastics

At VI Plastics, we’re able to provide customers with custom blow-molded plastics to meet all their storage needs. Using CAD drawings and 3D models, we’re able to bring to life complex mold concepts allowing our customers to visualize and prototype the product. From there we manage the complex mold and tooling design process which then leads to the manufacturing and assembly of a custom blow-molded product. These custom products are of the highest quality and will provide the functionality they were designed to provide.

This makes our blow-molded products perfect for use in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, where storage of different drugs, chemicals, and byproducts is essential to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Any leaks, discoloration, permeation, or other problems could be disastrous for our customers and that’s why we take the time to engage with our customers from any market to understand their needs when it comes to the medical grade plastics we manufacture.

Chata Biosystems

Chata Biosystems, on the other hand, produces custom and semi-custom aqueous reagents and chemicals that are used primarily for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical testing and manufacture. But Chata has also pioneered and developed their own custom engineered packaging solutions, revolutionizing the delivery methods for reagents and chemicals.

For our customers in organ and tissue donations, Chata’s new lavage pump systems also provide a less wasteful and less expensive alternative to traditional lavage systems.
